Well insulated. Battery completely drained; had to charge it. Power supply and cable that came with it was new knockoff and never worked wouldn’t charge device!

After reading about other people having overheating problems with these power supplies, I switched to my own that I use for my old iPad.

Initiated device setup process and tried to do a restore from my old iPad backup and process got stuck on trying to find a backup to restore from iCloud.

Research says that the device is likely still attached to an iCloud account from previous owner. The procedure to ‘disconnect’ from that account never worked, so I switched to doing a restore from iTunes of my latest backup form old iPad.

With some difficulty, I was able to complete that. Had difficulty with only one app that woulnd’t stay opened Daily Notes and kept closing. Performed an update on the app and it appears to be working now.

Touch screen is a bit ‘iffy’ around the edges. I have to keep tapping in different spots to get a response. Otherwise, response to touches is okay.

The ‘edge issue is a bit annoying and that may be the reason I return this device if I can’t work around it. Screen looks brand new.

It may be a third party replacement screen; which could explain the ‘touch’ issues. The thing is super fast. Colors are extra crisp and vivid.

Problems I had with previous Mini 2 – like Safari screens not loading or reloading constantly in some cases – seemed to have been resolved.

The Mini 4 fits the same cover as my Mini 2 was using it’s a Targus, silicone cover and may be just a tad tighter, but close enough! Plenty of additional storage 64gb vs 16gb!

No more issues trying to weed out pics, apps and e-books I didn’t have room for before! Overall, if it continues to perform as it is, it’s a good value for the money.

We’ll see! Just pay extra to get the new one that works great. Never worked super slow.
